The original allotments
The Allotment Gardens first appear on this 1929 Ordnance Survey Map. They are in a slightly different position compared to today as this image predates the move of the early 1980s. Note also the Pied Bull Hotel on the High Street frontage as the “new” hotel had yet to be built
NLWGA Show 2026, Saturday 12th September
The next show is on the 12th September. It’s easy to enter and a great day. If you don’t fancy entering you can still come along and enjoy the day.

Maintaining Roadside Verges
The committee has decided to mow roadside edges of allotments to keep them tidy and neat. Small branches through the fence will also be trimmed. Plot Tennants who wish to maintain their own roadside edges must inform a committee member and ensure these areas are kept neat, tidy and trimmed to a reasonable height.
